Hamlet at Blakey Located close to the Henton development and adjacent to Blakey Hall assisted living, The Hamlet is a new independent senior living complex consisting of 42 duplexes, all on the ground floor, together with a Clubhouse containing a dining room, a library/card room and an exercise room.

The Hamlet does not charge any up-front deposits other than a standard security deposit. We feel that parents want to do all they can to preserve their estates for the benefit of their children. We also feel that folks moving into a senior living arrangement want to know, as precisely as possible, what their costs are going to be. At this time an individual at The Hamlet pays a monthly fee of $1450.00 and a couple would pay a monthly fee of $1,675.00. This covers all costs except the cost of personal transportation for which a modest fee is charged. The services provided for this fee include.

    Each apartment consists of a living room, dining room, two bedrooms, two baths, and two porches. Equipment includes an oven/range, a refrigerator, a dishwasher, a clothes washer/dryer, a garbage disposal, and a microwave.

    There are other advantages available. We are able to arrange for home delivery of prescription drugs at favorable pricing and home health care at favorable pricing. We charge $0.42 a mile for personal transportation and $10.00 an hour if the driver needs to wait more than 15 minutes.

    We are located at the center of the population belt that extends from the Golden Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill) to the Golden Triad (Greensboro, High Point, and Winston Salem). We are very close to the campus of Elon University and this allows our residents to attend plays and other performances at the University and to take advantage of the institution's many advantages. The Town of Elon has about 6,500 residents and it is a pretty and safe environment.
