Our complex consists of a 40 home retirement community - Henton at Elon - adjacent to the campus of Elon University where residents own their own homes and where community maintenance is provided. A 42 senior apartment development - The Hamlet at Blakey - adjacent to our assisted living facility. Residents pay rent and only for the services they want to use. Maintenance of buildings and grounds is provided. An assisted living residence - Blakey Hall - licensed by the State of North Carolina for 72 residents.
We provide a continuum of senior care. Residents of Henton and The Hamlet can take comfort from the fact that they will receive preferred entry into Blakey Hall should they need that level of care.
Our Mission is to provide the best quality of life possible for our
residents in a safe, caring and homelike setting. We will use our abilities to make sure our resident's
dignity is preserved and will seek excellence in promoting the physical, psychological and spiritual
well being of each resident entrusted in our care. We recognize the value and potential of all human beings,
as built-in to their basic individual needs. We will encourage choices, decision making and promote independence
for each resident. Blakey Hall's desire is to serve the community and our residents with interaction between
generations. We do this extensively with Elon University student volunteers and by involving the children from
our afterschool program in the lives of our residents |
